Position: Graphic Designer Volunteer
Time Commitment: Flexible schedule with the ability to work remotely as needed
Location: 1292 St. Clair Avenue West, Toronto, ON M6E 1C1
Position Summary:
You are a self-motivated and creative thinker who pays attention to detail. You will be designing posters and other
promotional advertising for After Breast Cancer. The graphic designer will work as part of a team of Marketing,
Events and Social Media volunteers. If you are looking to gain experience within the nonprofit sector, this is the
perfect role for you.
Tasks and Responsibilities:
- Meet with the Marketing Department to discuss their visual requirements.
- Present creative visual ideas to the Marketing Department
- Estimate the time required to complete visual projects
- Work with a range of computer software, online and print media
- Proofread to produce high quality and accurate works of art
- Participate in scheduled after BREAST CANCER events.
Qualifications:
- Proficiency with Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator or other visual design software packages.
- High level of attention to detail and design.
- Ability to perform to a high level independently as well as with a team.
- Work well in a fast-paced time sensitive environment.
- Competent English communication skills.
- Passion for making a difference and helping others.
Start Date: Immediately
Term: Volunteers MUST work minimum 10 hours a week or more for 5 months consecutively
Remuneration: Transportation costs to and from (public transit or parking)

- Follow netiquette, conform to ethical standards and interact appropriately with others online

- To provide resources that contribute to a woman’s Quality of Life (QOL) after breast cancer.
- To provide women with limited financial resources and NO insurance with mastectomy bras, mastectomy camisoles and breast prostheses at no cost to them after breast removal surgery (mastectomy or lumpectomy).
- To identify underserved areas in breast cancer survivorship that lack resources and provide evidence based information that can facilitate informed decision making on issues related to breast cancer survivorship.
