Glenda Mohammed

Meet Glenda...

In the face of adversity I always find the strength to persevere.

I will not let cancer define who I am.

Glenda’s battle with breast cancer started in her late 40s after raising 3 kids and returning to school to become an Obstetrics Nurse.  Over the course of the next 10 years, the cancer returned to the same location in her left breast.

But despite a strong chemotherapy, which knocked the wind out of her sails, she recovered and celebrated her 60th birthday with her children and grandchildren cancer free by running in and finishing the Toronto Waterfront Marathon which, to all who know her, demonstrated her sheer determination to conquer any obstacle put before her.

Glenda’s strength and determination and grace of prevailed and she would eventually have a successful second breast reconstruction surgery.
