My name is Juliette Patterson Porter,
I have been diagnosed with DCIS (non- invasive - Her2 negative.) in 2019.
I had an mastectomy with immediate reconstruction of the right breast. Radiation was next - 30 rounds of it. The next 4 years would be a journey of managing the effects of radiation treatment, multiple surgeries which eventually led to removal of the right breast. No matter what this journey has taken me- I've always felt there's been a bigger purpose or reason for it. Instead of saying "why did this happen TO me" - I focus instead on "why is this happening FOR me". What do I need to take with me into all parts of my life and who can I help with what I've learned?
